April and May Quotes

April

Brielle had been telling me that I needed to clean her bathroom.  She was right, it did need cleaning, but it was funny to me that the 2 year old noticed it.  So I went and cleaned it and Brielle came down and literally inspected my work when I was done.  She said "Let me check the potty, Mommy."  And lifted the toilet seat up.  Then said "Let me check the bathtub, Mommy." And put her head down in the tub to check it out.  Thankfully, I passed her inspection. :-)

One night, I cooked salmon for dinner.  Brielle announced that we are having "pink chicken."

May

Brielle loves to play Candy Land, but never calls it that.  To her, Candy Land is called "Candy Cane."

Brielle was coloring at the table one day and she told me "I need to do my work so be quiet."

One day I was talking to Brielle when she stopped me and said "Mommy.  My name isn't Brielle anymore.  It's Emmie."

Addysen was writing something one day and asked me how to spell a word - after each letter, asking me what letter came next.  Brielle, who was coloring something while I was helping Addysen, then asked me "Mommy, what comes after a heart?"

Brielle is exceptionally sweet...however, she is 2.  And at times, she shows that she definitely is 2. :-)

Addysen drew her friend Eshal who moved away in Kindergarten, into her picture of kindergarten graduation because she "wishd" Eshal was there. :-)

To say Addysen loves her Papa and Yia Yia's cat Sacha, would be the understatement of the year!

Haven and Uncle Cornel are such good buds...probably due partially to their energy levels being close to the same :-)

Grampa and Gramma

Always so fun to have Grampa and Gramma in town for a visit!

Clifford Day

A local toy store had a Clifford event which included books, games, crafts, snacks, and of course...Clifford himself!!

The girls were all so excited to meet and hug Clifford!

The parachute was a hit with all the girls...but especially Brielle.  She could not stop full on belly laughing the entire time!

And then they played a game where the kids could volunteer to hide Clifford's bone.  This is the FIRST time as a parent I have ever seen one of my children volunteer for ANYTHING! :-)

They had some animals outside the store that the children could pet

And then finished up with an ice cream treat!

Mommy Fun Day - Bowling!

Bowling was the next choice for Mommy Fun day...

Haven beat all of us!!

After we left the bowling alley, we got to watch the Thunderbirds fly over the Air Force graduation

Mommy Fun Day - Build A Bear!

I compressed my work schedule for the summer to help with child care costs...which also allowed for an extra day off each week which we turned into Mommy Fun Days!  That "extra" day was not for laundry, cleaning, or other chores...it was just for us 4 girls to have fun together.  In preparing for our summer, we made this list of things we wanted to do over the summer...

The girl's first choice for a Mommy Fun Day was to go to Build a Bear.  They had never been and it was such a fun experience!

As we were eating lunch, we had a fun surprise...Auntie Natalie and Cassandra walked by!  They had come to the mall that day too!
