Various January and Beginning of Feb Pics

Addysen at her art desk she got for Christmas. She loves to cut things...anything! She'll take papers and cut the edges, etc. So cute to see how concentrated she gets on cutting into her paper.

Haven loves to eat cereal and does pretty well with her spoon. But has discovered from her sister how to drink the milk from the bowl...which makes quite the mess, but look at the smile that comes along with the mess! :-)

One more pic in front of the tree at the beginning of January before we took it down.

Haven playing with her peg farm...so funny how much she loves this thing - loves for us to get all the pegs in it and then she pops them out one by one.

My girls love to be "in" anything that they can manage to fit in...here Haven fit herself into the box we keep ornaments in and then Addysen brought her other toys and books to have while she was in there...looks a little cramped to me but she loved it! :-)

The floor was a disaster one day and I asked Addysen to clean it up - to get all the toys picked up off the floor. And here's what she did...from this view, it looks like she did a pretty good job, right? And even hugging her sister...so nice.

Unfortunately, here's how she cleaned up...by making a huge pile of everything in the kitchen. After she piled it all up, she excitedly told me "Look Mommy! We got it all cleaned up!" Nice.

Love reading to my girls...

One morning the girls decided to take every toy out of the toy baskets downstairs...so that they could go in them. They brought their blankets in there and Addysen told me they were going to take a rest in the baskets. Looks like a nice and comfy spot for a rest...ha!

The girls and I are heading to Colorado this week to have some time with my family. When I told Addysen we were going, she got SO excited and kept asking if we were going after her nap, after she woke up in the morning, etc. I quickly realized that it was going to be a long couple weeks if she had no concept of when we were leaving so we made a chain with the number of days until we leave for Colorado and each morning she takes a link off. She has been beyond thrilled with the chain and it's the first thing she asks to do every morning when she wakes up.

After taking the link off, she counts how many days until we go and then excitedly says "And when we get to the orange one, we get to go to Colorado!"

Nice accessories! :-)

It was my turn to bring a special snack to Addysen's preschool this month so I got a really cute idea from pinterest for butterfly snacks (pic below). We also made butterfly sugar cookies which Addysen helped decorate and we used pink frosting which went with their colors of the day which were pink and purple. So fun!

Addysen has been enjoying taking pictures with my camera. I end up having to delete a ton of pictures, but it is funny to see things from her perspective. She took this picture of Haven which turned out pretty cute I thought!

Amazement Square Fieldtrip

January's preschool fieldtrip was to Amazement Square. Addysen always loves going to Amazement Square, but she kept talking about how excited she was to go there on a bus this time!

Addysen worked on this for quite some time - building a path that the balls could come down

Paint box!

They told the kids to make silly faces for this pic. Addysen is so my child...ha!

Girls

The girls were awfully cute in their cream sweaters and pigtails one day so I decided to do a little mini photo shoot. I got a couple cute pics...

...and then the silliness began!

Haven was holding onto Addysen trying to hug her...until Addysen would eventually fall over and they would both end up on the ground giggling.

Love, love, love these girls!!

Funny Addysen Sayings

Addysen is constantly saying things that crack me up...here are a couple recent ones...

One night, Haven was standing on the stool by the potty. Addysen said with much concern "Haven can't fall in the potty! It would flush her away! Then we would have no Haven anymore and God would have to make a new Haven!" Ha!

Here's a conversation Addysen and I had one day at lunch while she was eating her blueberry yogurt:

Addysen: Mommy, did you put the blueberries in my yogurt?
Me: No, they were already in there.
Addysen: Who put them in there?
Me: The people who made the yogurt put them in there (yes, I realize...great description there :-) )
Pause while Addysen is clearly processing my very good explanation
Addysen: Mommy, I think the man put his hands in my yogurt.
Me: What man?
Addysen: The man who made my yogurt.

Oh how I love this age!
