Quotes - October through December

October:

Brielle told me one day "Mine pitah B left mine car."  Translation: I left my pitah (paci) and B in the car

After visiting the preschool that I was going to sent Brielle to when I started work, she said "Me go school! Me school!"  After talking about it a little more, I told her that I was going to miss her so much when she was at school and asked her if she was going to miss me or if she was going to be having too much fun.  She responded "Too much fun!"

The way Brielle talks reminds me of cookie monster.  Everything begins with "me"...i.e. "Me some yogurt," "Me eat my food," "Me go school," "Me fall down," "Me sit in big girl seat," "Me napkin wipe yucky." :-)

November:

Haven asked me one day "Mommy, can you do God on the phone?" (referring to the kids Bible story app)

Brielle now loves Frozen like the big girls.  She told me one day "Elsa Anna Frozen.  That's pretty neat!"

I told Brielle one morning that she was just so cute and she responded "Me don't want cute!"

At Thanksgiving, my Mom had decorative candles at the table.  Brielle didn't quite understand the decoration and said "Sing happy birthday now!"

After our Elf on the Shelf, Ollie, came back, we were talking about Ollie telling Santa if she was being good or bad.  When talking about if he gave bad reports to Santa, Haven asked "But then I would get a cold?"  It took me a second to realize she hadn't understood what coal was. :-)

Addysen will sometimes go in Brielle's room after her nap to get her out of bed.  Lately, she has been wanting me...not Addysen...to get her up and so she will tell Addysen "Mommy wake up me!"

December

At school, they would sometimes serve baked beans with lunch.  On the way home from school one day, Brielle informed me "Me not eat baked beans.  So yucky."

Brielle loves to sit on my lap and often asks to do so.  However, her way of asking is a little backwards...she always asks me "Mommy sit on my lap?"

Haha...Brielle...

Addysen's list of things to do before leaving for school in the morning.  A translation: (1) Eat breakfast (2) Brush teeth (3) Get dressed (4) Go potty (5) Hair done

Addysen and Haven "built" this across a park one day after a windstorm had knocked down a bunch of branches from the trees.  They were pretty proud of their creation!

Addysen came home with this one day from her friend Jack at school...uh oh...

Addysen is doing great writing her numbers!  The goal at this point in the year was to write to 49 and she wrote to 100!

Getting Christmas gifts ready for teachers

If any candy is left within reach, a certain 2 year old will find a way to get into it!

My Mom got sick the night of Christmas...and started a massive domino affect on the entire family...hardly any of us were spared from this nasty flu.  Here's Addysen feeling the effects of it...

Brielle made me this gift for Christmas in her preschool class.  It was so cute and I had it out for the Christmas season, but unfortunately, it made quite a mess so I kept the picture instead of the messy gift. :-)

Snow

The big girls LOVE playing in the snow!

Brielle does not like the snow.  This is about as close to the snow as Brielle likes to get :-)

Christmas

Santa came!!

Love this expression...how did Santa know a little Frozen book would cause so much excitement? :-)

Then it was time for breakfast...blueberry muffins and eggs

Then after reading the Christmas story, it was time for presents!

We had to leave the girls' play kitchen in Virginia so they were so excited to get a new one!

The girls' got their own Norwex supply...kids mop and dusting mitts!

After all the morning excitement, we got ourselves ready and went to my parent's house for more festivities!  It's been a long time since we've been able to celebrate Christmas with my family - so special!

A family tradition...singing happy birthday to Jesus and blowing out the candle

Santa filled up stockings for the girls at my parents' house as well!

My parents had an ornament that sang when it detected motion - which of course the girls thought was pretty great.  Addysen and Cassandra kept dancing to the music when it would start. :-)
