Various January Pics

Brielle at 4 months old

Love this towel Brielle got for Christmas...she's long grown out of the baby hooded towels so it was so fun to find a cute hooded towel that would still fit her!

Sweet sisters

Oh Haven... :-)

Addysen wanted me to take a picture of her with all the jewelry she had put on

And silly faced Addysen!

Addysen has been asking me often to french braid her hair at night

Cousin Pics

One of the main reasons we got professional pictures done was to get a picture of the 4 cousins together.  It wasn't until we were looking at the pictures at the end that we realized there was only one shot taken of the 4 of them...and unfortunately, this was the best shot!  Not terrible, but definitely not great!

So Natalie and I decided to try to take some more pictures of the girls together one morning when they came over to my parents house.  Haven wasn't feeling great so was near impossible to get to smile and it's just hard at these ages to get a good picture of all 4 of them at the same time, but at least we got a few more of these sweet girls together!

(The rocking chair Addysen is sitting in was my Grandma's rocking chair when she was a little girl)

Professional Pics

While we were in Colorado, we got some professional pictures of the girls taken.  Here are some of the best...

Addysen (4 1/2 years)

Haven (2 1/2 years)

Brielle (4 months)

Cassandra (5 years)

Colorado Trip

We had such a wonderful time in Colorado in January...just wish we didn't live so far away from Colorado and our family!  Addysen gave me a good laugh with a question she asked me on our flight to Denver...she asked me if the plane was still moving (she couldn't "feel" it moving).  I told her yes and then she asked "Does the driver know it's still moving?"  Ha!  I sure hope so. :-)

We went with Uncle Cornel, Auntie Natalie and Cassandra to Focus on the Family one morning and let the kids play in their play area.  Here are Addysen and Brielle in the scene from Adventures in Odyssey...

Uncle Cornel with Brielle

They have an area with books where the kids can read - all 3 of the girls ended up grabbing a few books and sitting on the floor to read together.

Dry air in Colorado = major static in the hair!

Uncle Johnny and Auntie Em took Addysen and Haven to a Butterfly Pavilion near their house in Denver when we visited them at their house one day.  In addition to getting to see a bunch of butterflies, they were pretty excited to come home with butterfly necklaces, butterfly stickers and butterfly tattoos! :-)

We had such beautiful weather most of the time we were in Colorado so we got to go for a nice walk at Garden of the Gods one day.

Lots of red dirt at Garden of the Gods :-)

Haven was pretty proud of how strong she was to "pull" Uncle Johnny in the wagon on our walk

Brielle got to take baths in my parents utility sink :-)

After my parents took Addysen and Haven to a bounce place and out to eat for lunch one day, the girls came home with balloon hats.  Haven was pretty thrilled about her Elmo hat!

Brielle loves to chew on anything, but especially people hands.  She kept attacking my Mom's hand every time she would hold her!

Of course we got lots of adjustments!  By the end of the time there, Addysen finally agreed to get adjusted on the table instead of Papa's lap!  She's getting a little big for adjustments on his lap!  Ha!

Haven went right to the table and ended up asking for multiple adjustments a day while we were there!

Now this is the size you should be to have a lap adjustment! :-)

Story time with Yia Yia...

...and with Auntie Em

Haven loves Brielle! :-)

Auntie Em bought the girls nail polish so we had a little pedicure session...both Addysen and Haven got their toe nails painted and Addysen got her finger nails painted as well!

Mommy putting polka dots on their nails

Waiting for the paint to dry was not the easiest thing...especially for one of these little girls who doesn't know how to sit still for anything! :-)

More finger chewing :-)

Playing on the iPad with Papa

Papa made Addysen this sign - using a magnifying glass and the sun to burn her name into the wood

Auntie Em taught my Mom and me how to make some delicious bread - Addysen got to help as well!

One of the last days we were there, there was some snow.  The girls were beyond excited and immediately wanted to go out and play in it!  We didn't have any snow gear with so we made things that Papa and Yia Yia had work...the gloves were a little big on Addysen :-)

The gloves that worked best for Haven were not water proof so we put plastic bags around them and then put rubber bands around the bags at her wrist to hold the bags on...

Yia Yia with the big girls

The girls were dying to swing so they went swinging in the snow! :-)

Instead of "singing in the rain," Yia Yia sang "we're swinging in the snow" :-)

We were also able to take the girls to a park several times, wet met up with Auntie Em for dinner at Cheesecake Factory in Denver (yum!), I got to go to dinner with just my parents one night while their dear friends watched the girls (all 3 of them!), we went to story time at Barnes and Noble with Auntie Natalie and Cassandra, we got time at Uncle Cornel and Auntie Natalie's house, we took a trip to Starbucks where Papa bought Addysen, Haven and Cassandra a round of coffee frappucinos (ha!) and of course, I got to eat lots of Blue Bell ice cream! :-)
