Various April Pics

The girls LOVE to brush their teeth.  Every time I tell them it's time to brush teeth, they sprint to the bathroom yelling "teef!" (Haven) or "teeth!" (Addysen) over and over.  Often it results in someone crying because the other made it there first and gets to brush teeth first, but at least they want to brush, right??  One day, they closed themselves in the bathroom and Addysen decided she was going to try to brush Haven's teeth.  So funny. 

This is what we do most every night lately...all snuggle together on the glider in Haven's room and read books before bedtime.  Love our story and snuggle time!

Haven can turn it on and off SO fast. I had taken some pics of Haven in her pigtails a while back (prior post)...all of which she was happy as a clam.  Don't remember what was said or what happened...probably simply being told "no" to something...and here's what she looked like 30 seconds later. :-)

Addysen loves to take pictures with my camera when I let her.  Most end up being pics of the floor, her stuffed animals, the fridge, etc., but here's one pretty cute one she got!

 

This is how Haven eats her peanut butter toast...starting with the front of the piece of toast.  She literally eats holes into the middle of toast initially...and of course as with everything involving Haven, makes a huge mess!!

Saturday morning out alone with my big girl...a little shopping and then Starbucks!!  Had a free drink coupon so we made the most of it!! :-)

G&G to Smith Mountain Lake

Last month, we took another trip back to the area on Smith Mountain lake that I previously posted about...this time bringing the girls' Grampa and Gramma with!  A few pics from the time there...

More mini-golf lessons...this time from Grampa

Haven loved any of the holes where the ball would go down through a tunnel to an area below.  She would put the ball down, go get it, climb back up and do it again...for as long as we'd let her!

When the club doesn't work, just throw the ball down the hole! :-)

We fed the fish and then Addysen got to venture out onto the dock with Grampa (with much instruction from her Mama to be careful, hold Grampa's hand, stay right by Grampa, don't get too close to the water, etc., etc.......ha ha :-) ).

Farm Fieldtrip

The preschool field trip in April was to a farm here in town.  Addysen loved seeing...and petting...all the animals!

We can see this farm from the highway the way we drive most every day.  Addysen always looks for the white horse that she got to pet to be in the field every time we go by now!

And one of the favorite parts of all the field trips this year...riding on a school bus!  This time she got to ride next to her friend Amelia (peaking out next to Addysen).

Car Wash

Last month, the girls got to help Gramma and Grampa wash the cars.

Uh oh...this looks like a recipe for trouble! :-)

Saw these pics and started laughing...looks like when the hose was taken away from her, Haven was still trying to help out with the water supply in the bucket...with her non-drip sippy cup!  Ha!

Best Buds

Addysen's best friend Camden from across the street moved away last month.  It was so sad to see their family go as Camden's Mom, Andrea, became a close friend of mine and Haven and Camden's brother, Cayson, were just to the age where they were starting to play together so well also (the little ones are only a month apart in age).  We moved into our houses on the same day a year and half ago and God truly blessed us by allowing us to live across the street and gain an instant friendship in a place where I didn't know a sole!

Despite no longer being able to meet at the park on a moment's notice or go to each other's house's on a whim to allow the kids to play as we've been spoiled with, we are thankful that they only moved just over an hour away so we will still be able to see them!

On a "lunch date" to Chick Fil A. :-)  We sat at a table next to them with the little ones and let them sit by themselves at this table - they were so cute.

Reading to Sister

Love the sweet sister moments! Here are a few clips capturing some of those moments...Addysen "reading" to Haven. :-)

Smith Mountain Lake

A few weeks ago, we went to an area we'd never been at Smith Mountain Lake - a huge lake spanning over 500 miles...parts of which we can get to in about 40 minutes.  The area we went to was such a great find! 

They had these HUGE fish off the dock that you could feed.  The girls got quite a laugh at them swimming all over each other...fighting to get each piece of bread we would throw in.



We brought the rest of the bag of apple straws that had gone stale to feed the fish.  Though Haven didn't previously like them, once they turned into fish food, she decided she liked them.  So she would throw a few to the fish, then eat a few herself. :-)

They had a miniature golf course on a dock that goes over the water so we decided to let Addysen have her first miniature golf experience.
 
They even had clubs just Haven's size so she could attempt it as well :-)
 
Then we had some ice cream...PINK of course for Miss Addysen! :-)


Haven decided she wanted to eat the cone...starting with the bottom and side. :-)  So her ice cream got moved to a cup while she ate her cone!
