December Cell Phone Pics

(I found a few cell phone pics from December - I'm going to post them now for a few days, then switch them back to a December post)

On my birthday, we went to Chipotle for lunch - num!  Got these couple pics with my big girls at the restaurant.

The girls showing off their adorable new hats Uncle Will and Auntie Jamie got them on Christmas

And here was Brielle's coordinating hat...so cute!

Funny Things My Girls Say

During the election in November, Addysen was asking me about what the President did.  After explaining a little bit about what the President was, she asked who the President was.  I told her that it was a man named President Obama to which she responded "Oh!  Like one of the states!"  It took me a minute and I realized she was thinking of Alabama. :-)

Haven is Miss Encouragement...she is always saying that she likes my shirt or my necklace is so pretty, etc. or I'll do something and she'll say "Good job Mommy!"  A couple weeks ago, out of no where she said with much emphasis "You look SO pretty today, Mommy!"  Such a sweet little girl she is!

Haven says often "I tink Bee-ewle love me!"  Yep...I think so too. :-)

After my Grandpa passed away the beginning of December, Addysen and I had quite a few conversations about death, heaven, etc.  She asked what does "die" mean, where do we go when we die, will we see Great Grandpa again, etc.  She only grasps a little of it and asks the same questions over and over.  One night when she was going to bed, she was asking a lot of those questions again and after I basically explained the gospel to her in a 4 year old way, she was quiet for a minute and I thought, wow...she's really getting this.  And then she said "Mommy, I'm not going to pick my nose ever again."  Guess we aren't quite there yet...ha!

Anytime during December that we would be out after dark, the girls would say with much excitement over and over and over (and over and over :-) ) every time they would see a house decorated at all, "Look!  There's some pretty lights!"

Haven is starting to grasp the concept of "if/then's" and has started trying to communicate them.  Her version of them though are things like this "If I call you, I call you."  "If I find my B, I find my B."  "If I kiss Brielle, I kiss Brielle."  If I need to wash  my hands, I need to wash my hands."  It's very informative...ha!

Various December Pics

Ambidextrous at this point?? Guess you can get a whole lot more done if you just use both hands!  Ha!

I love that Brielle seems to love her "B" just like the big girls do!

I'm sure I'm going to miss these days of colorings all over the refrigerator when the girls get bigger. :-)

This is what toy baskets are for, right?  Playing in the baskets with the toys! :-)

Haven loves this Minnie Mouse hat...but this is often how she wears it...half way off her head.  I have to laugh...it's SO Haven!

Sleeping beauty

This is how Haven looks after virtually any meal

Haven loves to look at books...though typically she has about 25-30 by her side when she's reading

Brielle loved taking a nap in this nice cozy spot by the fireplace at my parents house when Brielle and I went back to Colorado for my Grandpa's funeral.

I took Addysen and Haven to a birthday party for one of Addysen's friends from preschool in December.  It was in the afternoon so the girls didn't get a nap.  Haven did quite well at the party despite not having a nap, but this is what happened on the way home. :-)

Haven got so sick in December with a horrible stomach bug.  One morning, she and Brielle both fell asleep with Daddy on the couch.

Brielle's 4 Month Stats

Brielle is such a easy going, calm baby...which proves to be true even at doctor's appointments!  Once again, Brielle did great at her 4 month visit!

Brielle's 4 month stats are:

Height: 25 1/4 inches (75th-90th percentile)
Weight: 16 lbs 4.3 ounces (90th percentile)

Snow

At the end of December, we got a tiny bit of snow one morning.  Addysen got SO excited at the sight of snow and wanted to go out in it!  I could tell the snow wasn't going to last long so we quickly put some warm clothes on over her sleeper and let her go play.  Unfortunately Haven was pretty sick that day so she couldn't go out with Addysen.

We so rarely get snow, Addysen didn't even have any boots to fit her...so she clomped around in my boots...ha!

Thankfully we got her out when we did because within an hour, the snow was pretty much melted!  She had a ball while she was out there though!

Brielle's First Christmas

Christmas

Stockings

The girls woke up to see that Santa had eaten his cookies and milk and both Santa and Ollie (our Elf on the Shelf) had left the girls notes...with Ollie making sure the girls knew that Santa had kindly shared the cookies with him too (Addysen said on Christmas Eve when we left the cookies out that she hoped he would share with Ollie :-) ).

A bit excited that Santa had filled the stockings up!

Checking out what Santa left them

Addysen helped Brielle open her stocking as well...she very excitedly showed Brielle everything that she got.

Tree Pictures

Since Brielle had fallen asleep the night before, I had to get pictures of the 3 girls in their sleepers in front of the tree on Christmas morning!

Opening Presents

We got the girls a doll house...they were SO excited!

Getting the dolls out the packaging for the doll house

Addysen's preschool class went to the dollar store again in December to get Christmas gifts for their Moms and Dads.  They are able to go in the store and pick out anything they want so it's pretty fun to see what she picks for us!  She even made her own "wrapping paper" this year as well....

Addysen got both of us our own ornaments this year

How an almost 4 month old spends the majority of Christmas... :-)

Jeff's parents got Addysen a new bike for Christmas since she had significantly outgrown her other bike.  She was SO excited!

Brielle "opening" some gifts

Christmas dinner...num!

So thankful for our 3 most precious gifts at Christmas...
