Various October Pics

Addysen absolutely loves to watch the garbage men come pick up our trash...and then waits for them to come back down the street to pick up Camden's trash. She looks forward to Wednesday morning every week...often not eating breakfast until the garbage men come to make sure she doesn't miss them!

Grampa and Haven snuggles

Our girls are the biggest moochers. It doesn't matter what you are eating...if you eat in front of them, you are going to end up sharing with them...often sitting on the floor sharing like their Gramma is with her cereal in these pictures! Little baby birds waiting for their next bite! :-)

Addysen loves to listen to books online - using this headset I have.

Anytime the screen door is open, Haven goes in and out, in and out, in and out!

This is Haven's sign for hungry...which she uses all the time!

Jeff's Birthday

Jeff's 35th birthday was a couple weeks ago and although he had to work that day, we got to have breakfast with him before he left, where Addysen insisted that he needed a candle in his pumpkin bread and she sang Happy Birthday to him...pretty cute start to the morning!

Daddy with his girls...

During the day, Addysen helped decorate the house and then after he got home from work, we had dinner for him and gave him presents.

Addysen and Haven both colored cards for Daddy this year

The girls' gift to Daddy

My favorite of the 35 reasons was a quote from Addysen. I had asked her what her favorite thing about Daddy was and she said "Hugging him!"

Project

Addysen loves a good "project." She creates projects every day. A few weeks ago, Jeff ordered some ball racks for his basketball team and he put one together while the girls were sleeping one night. As expected, when Addysen got up, she was very interested in what the ball rack was. After making it into a multi-tiered bed for her animals, she decided to work on a "project."

This happened to be a day where I was switching out the girls closets from warm to cool weather clothes so I had a huge pile of hangers in Haven's room that morning. So Addysen decided it was going to be her "project" to bring all the hangers out from Haven's room and put them on the ball rack.

She was very serious about her goal. :-)

She kept asking Haven, "Do you want to help me with my project?" Addysen gave very clear instructions to Haven on what to do and Haven joined in on the fun.

So funny to watch these girls go back and forth working hard on this very important project! Ha!

Halloween

Last year, Addysen did not want to dress up for Halloween...it wasn't until the day before that she finally agreed to a costume. This year, she was much more excited about getting to dress up and picked out who she wanted to be by herself. No big surprise that she decided on Minnie Mouse!

I bought several costumes for Haven this year...all of which, she would try to rip off herself when I got them on her and would sob until I took it off. So...I was thrilled when finally she was fine with a bumble bee costume! However, when I went to put it on her on Halloween, this is what happened...

After a shoe change (she will only wear ONE pair of shoes and was not happy with my idea to wear black shoes) and B and paci coming to the rescue, she was a little more content.

Going outside was a great incentive for getting some pictures without B and paci...Haven LOVES to go outside so all of a sudden she forgot about her dislike for the costume!

Had to get some pictures of the girls with their buddies, Camden and Cayson, from across the street all dressed up!

We headed over to a Fall Festival at the large church connected to Jeff's school. The fun thing with Jeff's parents being here this year is that they got to come with us!

The first part they had set up was a "truck-n-treat" where they had all these cars set up with different themes and people handing out candy to the kids.

Haven's first experience with this was pretty funny. She kept looking in her pumpkin as soon as they would put candy in and didn't understand why we were moving on...she wanted to eat whatever they gave us now! :-)

Once we got inside, they had a Candy Land theme down the long hallway leading to a huge indoor track where the rest of the activities were.

In the track, they had huge bouncy areas, slides, etc., and tons of little games the kids could play and win candy. Addysen wanted to play this game where you drop the chip down and whatever number it landed on, you get that many candies.

Haven saw sister do this and though she was certainly big enough to do it as well!

With a little boost, she got to play the game as well!

Addysen playing another game...trying to throw the ball into the fish bowls

Several points throughout the night, Haven would take her pumpkin, sit down on the ground and just start pulling things out.

She tried eating a sucker at one point (first time she's done that!) and she was so funny...she kept wanting Jeff to eat it too. So she kept putting it to his mouth until he would lick it...over and over and over!

They have a big area roped off for under 5 year olds with all kinds of things for them to play on. Both the girls enjoyed playing in there. Here's Haven doing some acrobatics as usual.

One of Addysen's favorite things there was the trampoline. So funny that with all the things they had there, her favorite thing was something we already have at home! :-)

Noah's Ark Parade

The week before Halloween, Addysen's preschool had a Noah's Ark Parade at school where they dressed as animals and walked through the "Main Street" of the church connected to Addysen's preschool.

Addysen got so excited when she saw us there! Definitely the cutest little lady bug I've ever seen!

Jeff was able to come over for the parade...so Haven got some extra snuggles while we waited for Addysen's class to come.

After the parade, we went down to Addysen's class for a little class party. When we went into preschool entryway, the school's mascot, the Bulldog, was there. Haven got SO excited!! Here she is giving him a High 5!
