Various December Pics
Story time with Grampa

I painted Addysen's toe nails one night and Haven wanted in on the action. As active as she is, I decided to just go with the big toe nails (which even that was not easy!), but she was pretty proud to have her nails painted...so cute!

This puppy statue is outside of where we pick Addysen up from preschool. Haven always gets excited to see it saying "Puppy! Puppy!" - and this day wanted to ride on his back! :-)
Addysen then wanted to take a ride with her sister too!
Haven's hair is just barely long enough to get them in pigtails...they don't last real long, but it's SO cute while they're in!

Family
Christmas
It was so fun this year to see how excited Addysen was anticipating Christmas this year. She woke up and couldn't wait to go see if Santa had come!
Haven just took it all in until she saw Addysen pull a bag of goldfish and teddy grahams from her stocking. And then it was over. All she cared about was eating a snack and could not possibly care less about anything else that was in her stocking! Ha!
Addysen ended up taking Haven's things out of her stocking for her...here she is trying to show Haven what she got...and that's about how interested Haven was. :-)
Addysen however, had pure excitement over each and every thing that came out of her stocking! It was just precious to watch!

Addysen snuggling B and her new polar bear (later named "snow bear") that was in her stocking...while cuddling up with her "big bear."
Both girls love the pink donuts and cake pops from Starbucks so I figured they "needed" one on Christmas morning!
After the girls got dressed in their Christmas outfits, I asked them to sit together in front of the tree for a picture...or lay together :-)

Haven with Grampa and Uncle Will
In December, Addysen's preschool class went to the Dollar Store on a fieldtrip and picked out gifts for their Mommy's and Daddy's. They let them go anywhere in the store to pick out any gift they wanted for their parents. Addysen was so excited about our gifts and told us repeatedly in a very serious tone that there was to be no peaking at our gifts so under the tree they went until Christmas day! Addysen kept our gifts a secret from us; however, she did let it slip to me one day what she got for Daddy...she was so excited when she told me she got Daddy a jump rope...and here he is with his "jump rope" Addysen picked out for him! Ha!
And the gift she picked out for me was a bag of beads. :-) Would love to have known what was going through her head that day as she tried to decide what would be a good gift for each of us! So cute!
Grammy got the girls this little wagon...intended to be used to take their dolls and animals on wagon rides...however, Haven decided she was just the right size for it!
Haven loved this big gift bag...hiding under it...
...and in it!
And if you read my previous post about Addysen's visit with Santa, Santa did come through on her last minute request for a bike!
Miss Active (Haven) got a slide that can be used indoors or outdoors...perfect for indoors during the winter to get some energy out! Both girls love it!

Haven also got a riding rocking horse

I got this super comfy blanket for Christmas...which Addysen instantly decided was perfect for her to snuggle up in!
So fun to be able to use the china and crystal again for Christmas with everyone in town!

Christmas Eve
This year was a special birthday having family in town and I even got a little pampered...Jeff let me sleep in (the best part of the day for a Mama with 2 little ones...ha!), he and the girls brought me breakfast in bed, then his sisters took me to get a pedicure and then to Starbucks. To top off the night, Jeff's Mom made dinner for me as well as my favorite dessert...french silk pie! Here's Addysen singing "happy birthday" to me...so sweet.
We always have a helper for blowing out the candles!
And the girls digging in!

After presents, we started getting the bath ready for the girls and Miss Haven pulled her "I'm not waiting on you to get the bath ready" trick for the second time and climbed right in the bath while it was filling up...fully clothed!
Now that's more like it!
My sweet towel girls
Love the matching sleepers we found for the girls for Christmas this year!

And then we moved on to the important task of choosing the cookies to leave for Santa

Story time with Daddy
This video cracked me up...love how seriously Addysen takes her job of leaving milk and cookies for Santa and how nuts Haven thought we were for leaving perfectly good cookies sitting right there and not eating them. :-) Clearly not the highest quality, but it made me laugh so had to post it...
