Bow Board

One of my new favorite things is Addysen's bow board that my friend, Krista, made Addysen for her birthday. You can clip all her little bows onto the ribbon on the board and it makes such a cute decoration in her room as well!

Addysen is now loving bows...which is great fun! She'll point to a bow and then sign for "help"...for me to put it in her hair. Yesterday, she went a little bow crazy. She went to her bow board and would point to a bow, sign for help and then I would put it in her hair. She did this for every single bow on the board...I was cracking up, but humored her...and then of course, had to take some pictures of it! :-)

Then she decided she wanted to take them out herself, one by one......fun little game. :-)

I Don't Know

Addysen has learned to put her hands up to say "I don't know"...it's so cute! She often will do this when we're looking for her bear that she sleeps with or when she wakes up in the morning or from a nap and bear is on the floor outside her crib and we ask her where her bear is...after which she points to where he is and signs for "help." :-)

This is a terrible video, but at least you can see her doing her "I don't know" after she looks for him and can't find him...and seeing her huge smile when her beloved bear is found. :-)

Crib

Apparently, I am raising a beaver. She only has her 2 bottom teeth still, but has put them to work on the wood on her crib!!!

Clearly, I'm a bit late to get a crib guard. :-)

Baby Sitting!

Yesterday morning we got to babysit for our friends Eric and Natalie's little guy, Rowan...5 months old. It was so much fun to have a "little" baby around again...and made me realize just how big Addysen is!! Rowan is such a sweet, easy going little guy...just precious!

I was a little paranoid of Addysen around Rowan. We've been learning "gentle," but didn't really want to give it a go with Rowan quite yet! :-) She did well with him though and was pretty enthralled with him when he was in the swing! I'm just amazed that Addysen ever fit in this swing! It's wild how it feels like just yesterday that she was born...yet feels like forever since she was this small!!

Addysen kept wanting to go around the swing while Rowan was sleeping...it was pretty funny.

Walking Machine!

Addysen is walking all over the place now! Not the most exciting video in the world, but her Daddy needs to see her walking like this!!

Extras

Addysen won't eat cake, chocolate or ice cream, but she'll eat rocks???

Some of the pics were a challenge because Addysen was so interested in everything around her. My parents have bunnies and deer in their yard all the time...during these pics, Addysen was enthralled with the bunny in the yard (below). The animals around are pretty used to people so they don't scare off to easily which was fun for Addysen.

This one (below) just cracked me up since she makes this face quite often when trying to make noises with her mouth.

1 Year Pictures

As I mentioned in a previous post, while in Colorado we had several "photo shoots" to get some one year pictures of Addysen. Addysen was quite the trooper and true to her personality, she would sit or stand wherever I would put her for good lengths of time, allowing us to get quite a few shots! After going through them all, here are some of my favorites...

Dishwasher

Addysen has been interested in the dishwasher for a while, but for the first time climbed up onto the dishwasher yesterday...

New Computer

After coming home from Colorado earlier this week, I found out that my computer had completely crashed...nice welcome home. Anyway, the next couple days were spent searching for a new computer...and trying to figure out how to live without a computer. Amazing how much you realize you use a computer for when you go without one for a couple days!!

I just got the new one today and so far, I love it!! Plus, I LOVE the color...red!!! Why more companies don't go with fun colors like this, I'll never know...this was one of the huge selling features for me! :-)

Walking

I finally got a video of Addysen walking when we were in Colorado...this is from last week. I'll post an updated video soon of her walking...I'm amazed looking at this knowing this was just last week and how much better she's walking already!! Just in the last couple days, she's started walking more than crawling!

Stairs

Addysen learned how to climb the stairs while we were in Colorado...in fact, I had to be careful not to leave her alone for even a few seconds when we were downstairs...she'd go straight for the stairs! It was a new little game for her!

This video isn't real great since I had to be right there with her, but wanted to post it anyway...primarily for her Daddy's sake since he didn't get to see it! :-)

Whipped Cream

Aaahhh...a girl after my own heart. I think I'd eat whipped cream this way too if I could get away with it. :-) I like to have a little pie with my whipped cream too!

And more cousin pics from the week in Colorado! With the girls being so close in age (7 months apart) and us living away from each other, it was just so special to have the girls together and see them play together! I hope that no matter where we live, these girls will always be close!!
