Yesterday was our 7 year anniversary! Can't believe it's already been that long! I didn't post anything yesterday with the intention of taking a picture of us last night at dinner...but that didn't happen. Oh well!
We had a great day yesterday...pretty relaxing. We brought Addysen to the pool which is always great fun and then last night we went to our traditional (and unbelievably delicious) dinner...Ruth's Chris! Krista was kind enough to come over to watch Addysen so that we could go out...just the two of us. I think I have been honestly looking forward to that dinner since last year's dinner. :-) Over the last few weeks I keep telling Jeff and Addysen what I'm planning to eat when we get there. I just love that place and it's been so special being able to go there every year to celebrate our anniversary!
I feel so humbled and blessed to be married to such an incredible man. This last year has brought about some really high highs and some really low lows and we have no idea what the next year has in store for us. I am just so thankful to be able to walk through each of the highs, lows and everything in between with such a caring, thoughtful and loving man.
I love you, Jeff! Thank you for all you constantly do for me and our family! I'm so thankful to be on the same team and I look forward to the rest of our lives together!!

Bath Time
Addysen's hair is so thin and fine still that there's not a whole lot you can do with it.......unless it's wet. :-) I've been having some fun with Addysen's hair in the bath lately...

At the end of her baths, we say "bye-bye" to the toys and water while I rinse the toys off and the water drains. I then give Addysen one last rinse to get the soap scum off of her before she comes out. Addysen has definitely gotten into this routine and waves "bye-bye" to the water the entire time it's draining. This is her waving "bye-bye" to the water. :-) (On a side note, look at those rolls!!!! Love 'em!!!)

Various Pics
I was trying to get a pic of this cute outfit Addysen got for Christmas that now fits her...it has a little zebra on it. I think she was pretty much done with pictures at this point. :-)

Addysen very regularly gives eskimo kisses...it's just so precious. Jeff captured her coming in for an eskimo kiss here.
A week or so ago, Addysen started attempting to stand up in her crib. She ended up getting her first little bonk on the head from doing that....here she is showing her first bonk from her crib... :-)

This was actually a pre-crawling pic I didn't post in time before she started crawling. :-) This was very regular for the last couple weeks before she actually took off...getting used to the hands and knees feeling. She would rock back and forth and then would either just sit back down or would flop down on her tummy.

Crawling!!!
Addysen crawled for the first time today!! We were SO excited!! She's been getting close over the last couple weeks...up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth, but then would either move back to sit or would lay back down on her tummy. Today though, she did it!
I had to laugh because it reminded me of when she rolled the first time...we got so excited about it and it was such a huge deal...and to Addysen it was like "what's the big deal guys?" and continued to crawl like it was nothing after the first time. :-)
Here she is...in action.....

Bahama Bucks
The first place that Addysen went for a "non-doctor's office" outing when she was first born was to Bahama Bucks...a great shaved ice and smoothie place here in Phoenix. We ended up going there several times when shortly after she was born when people would come in town, etc....as that was about as adventurous as I was early on!
We took her back last week and it made me remember those early visits...crazy how little time has passed by...yet how much difference 9 months makes!! Here she is on one of her early visits...this was on her 1 month birthday...she was pretty excited as you can tell... :-)
And here she was last week...at 9 months...
We let her try out the shaved ice this time. I thought she'd really like it...however, she was not impressed.

There was another family who came in while we were there who had a baby girl who was only a couple weeks younger than Addysen. Addysen got SO excited when she saw the other little girl and was babbling on and on and doing her excited screams...it was pretty funny.

Toy Basket
One of Addysen's new favorite things to do is to take the toys out of the toy basket herself. It keeps her entertained for quite a while since she literally takes each toy out one by one, playing with each one for a minute or two before picking out the next toy.
Next, we'll have to learn the fun game of putting the toys back in the basket. :-)

Addysen makes me laugh how she plays with her doll. She loves to eat the doll's hands and loves to touch her face...and will touch each part (nose, eyes, mouth) like she it just enthralled with what each is and has never seen them before. Mind you, she plays with this doll just about every day, but every day is a new exciting adventure for Addysen! :-)

Last week when Addysen started playing the "take everything out of the basket" game, she found this pacifier which somehow had ended up in the bottom of the basket. She hasn't used pacifiers since she was really little and never really took to them all that much even then, so when she saw it, she didn't know what it was. She does have her razberry teether though that is a similar shape to a pacifier so it made me laugh when she started using this as though it was a teether. I'm sure it doesn't feel quite as good as her teether, but she does like to chew on it every time she finds it in the basket.

Caught!
I had a great laugh yesterday...had to write this one down...
A little background...In the past few days, Addysen has started sleeping some on her tummy for both naps and during the night. It's come about now that she's much more active and does spend a lot of time "almost" crawling...which she also does in her crib when she's not quite ready to fall asleep.
So yesterday, she fell asleep for her nap on her tummy and just looked adorable. Legs and one arm sprawled out, the other arm holding her bear nice and close. So cute. So being the Mamarazzi that I am, I decided to do a stupid thing. Yes...attempt to get into her room unnoticed, take a picture, and sneak back out.
Didn't quite happen that way.
So I got in there fine and she didn't move at all. I had put the sounds on the camera on silence so she really shouldn't hear anything. I found out, however, that the "no sound" option didn't include the zooming. So I went to back out the zooming and I have to say, it was just a slight noise, but enough noise to cause Addysen to move.
She didn't move much, but I quickly and quietly dropped down and was literally lying on the carpet right by her crib...listening to her movements. She didn't make any noise...no crying, no talking...nothing. Just a few minor movements.
When I was pretty sure she had just repositioned herself and fallen back asleep and hadn't heard any more movements in a couple minutes, I decided to nix the whole getting a picture "thing" and just get out of there. So very quietly, I got up on all fours and crawled out of the room...to try to prevent her from seeing me out of the corner of her eye if she happened to still be awake.
When I got to the door, I turned around and looked at the crib...and this is what I saw...
I honestly couldn't stop laughing. She had caught me. So much for sneaking out of there!

Mother's Day
Mother's Day was so special this year...my first with Addysen here! Hard to believe a year ago I was just entering my last trimester...how life changes in a year! I can't begin to express just how thankful I am for this sweet blessing...my precious little girl.
I wanted to be a Mom for so long and for some time wondered when or if it would happen...and didn't understand God's timing...why I had to wait so long to be a Mom. However, if it were in my timing, we wouldn't have had Addysen...as always God's timing was perfect as I can't imagine my life without this precious little girl.
We had a wonderful Mother's Day...Jeff and Addysen did so many things to make the day special. I'm so thankful to have the best job on earth...being a Mom.
The day Addysen made me a Mama...
...And now...

Addysen got me the sweetest card...it was just perfect...and even drew me a picture on the inside. I had to post a pic of it... :-)

Pool Day!
Given that it's supposed to be over 100 all week, we decided that it was the perfect time to bring Addysen out to the pool for the first time! We had a great time and she really seemed to enjoy the water! The water was still a bit cool so we weren't sure if she'd take to it right away, but she wasn't phased a bit by the cooler temp! I also loved that I didn't get tired holding her in the pool...those 22 1/2 pounds seem a lot lighter when holding her in the pool!! :-) I'm sure we'll be spending quite a bit of time at the pool from now on!!
