Mr. Bear

We have a number of bears around here. Primarily because I just love teddy bears...so therefore, Addysen must as well, right?? :-) So we have all kinds of creative names for them...for example, Bear (the one she sleeps with), Valentine's Bear (the one we gave her for Valentine's Day) and this one...his name is "Mr. Bear." Don't you love our creativity?? What else would you expect from an accountant though! Ha! :-)

Mr. Bear was the first stuffed animal that she got...picked out by her Mama...in hopes of starting a love for stuffed animals! :-) She really does like Mr. Bear...really, how could you not with how cuddly he is...even if he is almost as big as her!

(I just have to add a side comment to the pic below that when I saw this picture, it cracked me up...I love the look on her face as she's holding him out...ha! :-) )

Sunday Dress

All dressed up for Sunday in the nursery...

Family Visit

My brother, Johnny and his wife, Emily, came to visit this last weekend. We had a great time visiting with them and Addysen loved having her Aunt and Uncle here!!

Addysen was enthralled with her Uncle Johnny! Johnny came and sat by her while she ate one night and she sat like in this picture below for I'm not even sure how long...just staring at him. It was pretty funny. :-)

And she was thrilled that Auntie Em would play basketball with her!!

More staring at Uncle Johnny... :-)

She enjoyed what Auntie Em fed her much more than this picture showed...

We took a walk around the lake one night...

Thanks so much for visiting, Johnny and Emily! We really appreciated you coming and hope it's not too long before we see you again!

ROLLING!!!!

SHE DID IT!!!!
(I'm not excited at all...can you tell? :-) )

Addysen was SO close last night to rolling from her back to tummy that I kept her up a little later to see if she would do it. She'd get super close, but then couldn't quite tuck that arm under to get over. I even told Jeff after putting her down last night that I bet she'd roll in the next couple days...and sure enough...she did it! The funny thing is that now that she's figured it out, she keeps rolling off her back like it's no big deal...ha!

Now we just have to work on going from stomach to back since she's not real thrilled about being on her tummy once she gets there. One step at a time... :-) She's very close to doing that though too so I'm sure it won't be long!

Here are some pics of the ending to the very first roll (this cross from her Grandma and Grandpa was her enticement to roll)...

And a video now that it's "no big deal"...a couple rolls after the first one... :-)

Friends

This last weekend, one of our friends from our small group who had moved away to Spokane about a year and a half ago, Lisa, and her daughter, Claire were in town for a visit. So on Monday, several of us got together for a play date. It was wild to see...of the 6 kiddos, only 1 was here when Lisa moved away! We had a great time catching up and getting to meet little Claire who is just a doll!! Thanks for spending the time with us, Lisa! It was great to see you again!

We attempted to get a group shot of all 6 of the kids...it was a bit challenging with 4 of the 6 being mobile! We started with 4....

Then 5...with 2 trying to escape...
And the only 2 pics I got of all 6 before the mobile ones, well, were mobile and took off. :-) From L to R, Claire (Lisa's daughter), Chase and Carter (Krista's boys), Asher (Rachel's son), Addysen, and Paisley (Ashley's daughter).

So this seemed to be a common "look" with Addysen while we were trying to take these pics...

(Carter and Addysen)
(Asher and Addysen)
(Addysen and Paisley...she had all the excitement she could handle :-) )
The cute "couple"... :-)

Addysen was quite interested in Paisley's carseat handle...hmmmm....interesting... :-) This is where the expression "sleeping like a baby" comes from...all these other kiddos making all kinds of noise and jumping on and off the couch and she was just conked out...so precious!

New Bathtub!

A couple nights ago, Addysen got to use the "big" bathtub for her bath...her first bath out of the little infant tub! The infant tub has worked great, but she just wasn't fitting into it well anymore and now that she's sitting on her own so well, I thought she would have much more fun in the "big" bath! Sure enough...she loved it...primarily because that means there are toys that she can play with (i.e. EAT) in there. :-) I had a hard time even getting a picture with her looking remotely near me because she was so enthralled with the water and new toys!

Tonight, she started laughing when I put the toys in and thought the little crab was very funny...she'd laugh every time he'd float by her or I'd bring him up to her. Too cute. :-)

Pictures

We haven't had any professional pictures taken of Addysen since she was 2 weeks old so a couple days ago, we got some more taken at 7 months old. We ended up getting way more than we expected so don't be surprised if you get a picture or two or three in the mail here soon. :-)

These are a few of my favorites...

(This next one I had to put in because true to Addysen's "everything's interesting" personality, she would not stop looking at and feeling the flowers that the photographer put next to her when she was sitting on this chair. The pot started out right next to her and the photographer kept moving it back further and further out of her reach until they were basically behind the chair. Then Addysen started straining her neck to the side to try to see them behind the chair. It was pretty funny. :-) )

(And I had to include this one as well (below). After about an hour of taking pictures, 3 outfit changes and us doing everything to try to get her to stop looking at everything in this new place (all of which was SO interesting) and just smile, Addysen let out this loud grunting scream kind of noise. We all started laughing...it was like her way of saying "Enough already!!! I'm so over this!" I didn't realize until I was looking at the CD that the photographer actually captured her face as she was letting us know she was done! :-) )

Play Date

I'm WAY behind on posting these pictures, but some were too cute not to post...even if a little late! These were from a couple weeks ago when Krista, Erin and I got together with our little ones - Chase, Carter, Abigail and Addysen. Most of the pics are of Abigail and Addysen who at this age, are a bit more of a captive audience than toddler boys! :-)

(This was the only one I got of all 4 of them...pretty funny...Carter is a busy boy...can't stop for pics!! :-) )
Chase was so cute...he was showing Addysen the elephant and wanting her to play with it

Thanks for having the girls over to play with the boys, Krista! We had a great time!
