Elmo Dance

Addysen's Elmo dance has become more "advanced" since when she first got Elmo... :-)

Snowman!

We got quite a bit of snow this morning so I figured it was a good morning to get Addysen all bundled up in her snow clothes for the first time and put those boots to good use!!

We laughed because once I got her all bundled, Addysen had no idea what to do...she couldn't even move. :-) She just stood there trying to figure out what in the world was going on!

Then we got her outside and she stood in the same spot...not sure how she was supposed to walk or do anything with all these clothes and large boots on!

Addysen's Auntie Jessica showed her how to walk and then she started walking around some and ended up getting into the snowman building...using the snowman "kit" (scarf, carrot nose, buttons, etc.) that Addysen's Yia Yia got for her...

Small little guy, but I think he's a pretty cute little snowman! :-)

Addysen liked the snowman so much she tried to give him kisses. :-)

Peek A Boo!

Addysen loves to "hide" under her towel after bathtime. The funny thing is that while she's under the towel she talks away...like she's trying to tell us where she is...and then laughs when we can't find her. :-)

Outfit

One of Addysen's new Christmas outfits...gotta love the ears... :-)

Daddy on the Airplane

The hardest part about Jeff being on the road....this little girl missing her Daddy and Daddy missing his baby girl...

I've been telling Addysen that her Daddy went on an airplane...and so each time now I say he's on an airplane, she makes her hand "go" like an airplane in the air and makes her airplane noise. It's pretty cute. This video isn't as good as she does it normally, but you get the idea...

Shoes

Addysen has always loved shoes. Before she wore her own shoes, she would always get her Daddy's shoes and bring them to him and sign for "help"...meaning she needed help in Daddy putting on his own shoes and would ask for it until he would put them on. :-)

Now that she wears her own shoes, she loves to have them put on and off...and on and off...and on and off. :-) And her new favorite thing is putting her feet in tupperware, blocks, etc. and other people's shoes. And when it's possible, walking around in them!

Playing in the snow

We had a bit warmer day (note...I did not say warm! :-) ) on Christmas Eve so we spent a little time outside which thrilled Addysen! Her Daddy even took her to an empty lot across the street to play in the snow...

Christmas

What a fun Christmas we had this year! Last Christmas, Addysen really didn't know what was going on and this year, she was able to open her gifts on her own and she really enjoyed it......so much so in the morning that she couldn't even finish opening gifts and went down for a 4 hour nap! Opening presents is exhausting! :-)

We didn't put any gifts under the tree until after Addysen went to be on Christmas Eve so it was fun to see her react to them on Christmas morning. She kept wanting to just take a present and give it to someone close by...then she'd take it back and put it back under the tree.

She then opened her stocking...I think this was her favorite part...yogurt bites. :-) She immediately did her "more" sign asking for it to be opened...she loves these things!

Her first pair of sunglasses...we have to work on keeping them on though. :-)

Sampling the animal crackers from the stocking...

Here's a bow that Addysen got from her Florida aunts and uncle...it says "Big Sister" on it. :-)

Opening gifts...

And here was her Christmas outfit...

One of Addysen's favorite gifts was her drum set (with other "instruments")...

She was a little hesitant about Uncle Will when he first came...the beard threw her a bit I think...but she ended up warming up to him and thought he was pretty funny. I mean, who wouldn't think a bowl worn as a hat is funny?? :-)

Brothers and sisters

My Birthday

I had a wonderful birthday this year with Jeff's family including both of his sisters and brother-in-law who were here for Christmas. And the best part was my birthday was one of the 3 days off Jeff had for Christmas so it was so great having him home all day!

Addysen got me balloons and Jeff did some birthday decorating (you can see on the column in the background). Addysen was thrilled that I "shared" my balloons with her...ha! :-)

And then one of my favorite breakfasts...strawberry and whipped cream pancakes! Num!

Addysen enjoyed the pancakes (and quite obviously, the strawberries) too!

My girl...the best birthday present every year is just being this sweet girl's Mama!

So wonderful spending a relaxing day together!

I had a helper with gifts...getting warmed up for her gift opening the next day!

And my birthday cake was a chocolate cheesepie...num!
