We are having a wonderful time in Breckenridge for Christmas.......enjoying time with family, skiing and being in the mountains so time has been limited for posting. I'll try to post a bit more in the next couple days, but in the meantime, we got a pretty cute video of Addysen's laughing the other day......I just love this little girl's laugh!!!

Cousin Pics...Attempt #1
We attempted to take pics of the cousins tonight. Attempted was the key word. Apparently we're not very smart though...took them at the end of the night when both babies were tired and ready to call it a day. It's a bit challenging with an almost 1 year old (next week) and a 4 1/2 month old. However...I will say it made for a pretty funny progression. We'll attempt for a good pic again tomorrow.
All started out fine, except for Addysen's love for textures and patterns. We couldn't get her to look at us because she was completely fixated on the pillow on the couch we were also using to help prop her up...

Ok...pillow is now taken away. Now we can't get Cassandra to stop eating her foot...

Ok...stopped eating the foot but now she wants the foot on Addysen...
Sadly...this was the best pic I got...pretty pathetic...but it was all downhill from here...
Addysen begins meltdown. She's had enough and can't hold herself up...
Cassandra now realizes she's pretty tired too...Addysen continues progression to meltdown...
I think the next 2 pictures speak for themselves...complete and utter meltdown of both babies...

And this ended our first attempt. :-)

My Birthday
I had a great day with family today on my birthday, despite Jeff reminding me that I am not just 30 anymore...now I am in my 30's. My Mom made a great breakfast this morning and my Dad got pastries at one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado Springs. Then tonight, my grandparents and Cornel, Natalie and Cassandra came over for dinner. My Mom made a DELICIOUS prime rib and my Grandma made pear salad...my favorite! And then of course, we had french silk pie for my birthday pie...num!!
My most special gift on my birthday........having my little girl here with me!
Seeing her Great Grandparents again
Nummm...french silk pie...look at Addysen's face...she's going to love this too in the future...I'm sure of it! :-)
Addysen was quite interested in the gifts that I received...she loved this ornament that had a really neat design on it.
This gift was SO special. My parents had an ornament like this when we were growing up where you pull the string and the arms and legs go out. I had really great memories of it and thought Addysen would love it. I had asked my Mom for it, but my brother had beat me to the punch...apparently he had great memories of it too. :-) So my Mom found this one and gave it to me...it means so much and I'm so excited to see Addysen in the coming years enjoy this ornament!

We made it!
Another flight down with Addysen...with no major problems! Everything went very smooth today and Addysen did just great on the plane...slept and ate most of the way! We arrived in Colorado to 20 degree weather...yikes! The good news is that it will certainly seem more like Christmas with it being cold and snowy...the even better news is that we get to enjoy it for a short bit...and then get back to the beautiful Phoenix winter!!! :-)

Early Christmas
As we were going to be in Colorado this year for Christmas, we celebrated our family Christmas a little early. How fun...our first family Christmas...the 3 of us!! :-) On Sunday night, we let Addysen open 2 gifts...she begged so we let her...ha. :-) She got to open a gift from her Great Grammy...a cute little doll...and then she opened one gift from Mom and Dad...several Christmas books. We read one book that night...Twas the Night Before Christmas...seemed the right choice since we were calling Monday morning "our Christmas."

After Addysen got up Monday morning (i.e. "Our Christmas") and ate, Jeff read the Christmas story from Luke and then I read her the baby version of the Christmas story...one of the books she got the night before. I loved the book...very simple about how it's Jesus' birthday and we give gifts because we're celebrating His birthday.

So, to celebrate Jesus' birthday, Addysen got to open her stockings (yes plural...she got one from Mom and Dad and one from her G&G Platt) and then open gifts. It was so much fun! We had to laugh though because she was completely worn out after we were done and went right down for a nap...and we had gone pretty fast. A little different than in future years where I'm sure it'll get her hyped up...not worn out!

We are just so thankful this year on Christmas...as we celebrate Christ's birth...for His huge gift to our family this year in Addysen, our beautiful little girl!

Play Date
Addysen and I had our first play date yesterday with one of my dear friends, Erin and her little girl Abigail. Addysen and Abigail are only 5 days apart so it's so much fun to see them together! And of course...the Mamrazi was in action!! :-) I had a hard time narrowing down pics...so I posted "a few" of my favorites.
But first...this was back when the girls were only a month and a half old...you can see several of the pics we took of them in my posting that day if you click here, but here's one of them...AMAZING how much they've changed in a few months!!
And now...

(These next 3 pics crack me up...started out so cute with them holding hands...but Addysen has a hand in the mouth on her mind....

...fortunately, it ended up being her hand that ended up in her mouth! :-) )
(It got to be a little hard sitting up for so long...but these girls were troopers!! :-) )
Thanks, Erin and Abigail for letting us come play! We'll look forward to doing it again in the New Year!!

Tummy Time
Addysen still hates tummy time. Our pediatrician said to continue doing it...that her hate for it would turn into rolling. I asked how long we should leave her on her tummy at a time and he said until she gets really upset. Hmmm...so 10 seconds then? Maybe 20?
Here's the progression...mind you, this literally took place over the course of 2 minutes (I looked at the time stamp on the pics to make sure I wasn't exaggerating)...
We start out pretty happy...

That lasts about 20 seconds at best...then it turns into, "Ok, Mom...had enough."
Then it turns into "Ok...seriously, I'm done!"
Which goes to "DID YOU NOT HEAR ME? I AM DONE!"
To "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME??"
However, as soon as we turn her over on her back, here she is...happy as a clam... :-)
